Hello everyone, my name is Edgar Barron. I would like to
thank you for being here today on this special day to remember Dalyla, my
beautiful wife, best friend and soul mate. Dalyla wasn’t just only my wife, she
was a blessing God sent me down from Heaven. She still means the world to me,
even if I don’t have her here. She is gone, but her spirit lives on forever.
Dalyla and I shared wonderful moments with our families. Those are the memories
I will remember, her smile, her laugh, the way she made everything fun and
exciting. That is how I will remember her. I reminisce the first time Dalyla
and I went to Six Flags during our young, dating years. She was so happy that I
finally had the courage to ride the rollercoaster I feared as a boy. The way
she laughed while I hanged on to my life was, at the moment, very upsetting to
see. She made fun of me! But I now laugh too; she was only trying to make me
face my fears. She always wanted the best for me; because she believed that I
deserved it, even when I didn’t. She made me realize my self-worth. I love her.
I will never forget our Wedding. She made me the happiest man alive. The smile
on her face was priceless. I will never forget that smile. Dalyla wasn’t your
ordinary friend. She was your shoulder to lean on, the sweetest individual I
ever met. Her family, friends, and I have so many great stories about her. The
day she graduated from SMU was such an inspirational day. She made me so proud!
Watching her walk that stage filled me up with so many emotions. My babygirl
had worked her ass off during those 4 years, and she had finally made it! Even
though we didn’t make it to raise children, we always talked about it. She was
taken too soon, but I don’t blame God. He gave me Dalyla just for a little
while because she belonged to Him, not me. She feared and loved God so much.
She was the one who led me to His path and now I am more than happy to live in
His word because I know that’s what she would want. To keep following Him. I
miss you babygirl. Let’s remember the good times with Dalyla. Let the memories
live on forever. Thank you.
