Creative Process 1: Dustin Ballard and 'The Key'
Dustin Ballard, from The Richard's Group, talks about his creative process. He explains that ideas come in different size, which I agree, that it's true. As I thought about my mission statement for my final project I kept coming up with 'small ideas' and wrote them down. But then, I noticed that I could do something more to my mission statement, like changing a word here there, making my ideas 'pretty good'. After looking through the Oscar's photo gallery for a bit, I had the 'big idea' and went with it. My key was to understand what I wanted to write using the ideas I came up with.
It's interesting to note that I didn't go with my first idea that I had for my mission statement. My brain somehow figured something better, cleaner, and unique. I was open to think of other ideas and not be stubborn to follow through with the idea I had initially. Does this make sense? I hope. Dustin's a pretty creative guy. I like his creative process.
