Creative Process 2: Danny Gregory (Chapter 3)

Danny talks about his creative process and idea strategy in our book. He mentions about how it's important to practice. Practicing eventually leads to perfection; come up with many ideas as possible and try them ALL.

Next is using all the material you have. Music, Paintings, Drawings, Libraries, Art Galleries. Be inspired by others work! It will do you good,

Lastly, your 'space'. Use your environment to calm you down and organize your thoughts. Go somewhere quiet and take in all that you see and feel. Use all your ideas and bunch them up to make the ultimate creative work you wish to do.

Thanksgiving Pics!

Thankful for my lovely mother! This was taken before our guest arrived.

Thankgiving Break

I am pretty happy about my Thanksgiving Break. It turned out to be pretty cool and simple. Not that simple is bad, I enjoyed every second spent with my fam! We stuffed our faces and watched the Dallas Cowboys game.

I things I am most Thankful this year is health and a roof over my head. Some people are less fortunate than me and sometimes forget about how truly blessed I am with the things I have. Gotta say that I have everything I will ever need. :)

I've been eating leftovers for the past two days. Lol, I think it's time for something else. Just kidding. I am grateful for my leftovers as well :D

Creative Process 1: Dustin Ballard and 'The Key'

Dustin Ballard, from The Richard's Group, talks about his creative process. He explains that ideas come in different size, which I agree, that it's true. As I thought about my mission statement for my final project I kept coming up with 'small ideas' and wrote them down. But then, I noticed that I could do something more to my mission statement, like changing a word here there, making my ideas 'pretty good'. After looking through the Oscar's photo gallery for a bit, I had the 'big idea' and went with it. My key was to understand what I wanted to write using the ideas I came up with.

It's interesting to note that I didn't go with my first idea that I had for my mission statement. My brain somehow figured something better, cleaner, and unique. I was open to think of other ideas and not be stubborn to follow through with the idea I had initially. Does this make sense? I hope. Dustin's a pretty creative guy. I like his creative process.

Mission Statement.

I want to create a world filled with God’s love and more smiles.

I had a lot of words that dealt with God and smiles. Therefore, I made my mission statement using those words.

Sample #1 Eulogy

Hello everyone, my name is Edgar Barron. I would like to thank you for being here today on this special day to remember Dalyla, my beautiful wife, best friend and soul mate. Dalyla wasn’t just only my wife, she was a blessing God sent me down from Heaven. She still means the world to me, even if I don’t have her here. She is gone, but her spirit lives on forever. Dalyla and I shared wonderful moments with our families. Those are the memories I will remember, her smile, her laugh, the way she made everything fun and exciting. That is how I will remember her. I reminisce the first time Dalyla and I went to Six Flags during our young, dating years. She was so happy that I finally had the courage to ride the rollercoaster I feared as a boy. The way she laughed while I hanged on to my life was, at the moment, very upsetting to see. She made fun of me! But I now laugh too; she was only trying to make me face my fears. She always wanted the best for me; because she believed that I deserved it, even when I didn’t. She made me realize my self-worth. I love her. I will never forget our Wedding. She made me the happiest man alive. The smile on her face was priceless. I will never forget that smile. Dalyla wasn’t your ordinary friend. She was your shoulder to lean on, the sweetest individual I ever met. Her family, friends, and I have so many great stories about her. The day she graduated from SMU was such an inspirational day. She made me so proud! Watching her walk that stage filled me up with so many emotions. My babygirl had worked her ass off during those 4 years, and she had finally made it! Even though we didn’t make it to raise children, we always talked about it. She was taken too soon, but I don’t blame God. He gave me Dalyla just for a little while because she belonged to Him, not me. She feared and loved God so much. She was the one who led me to His path and now I am more than happy to live in His word because I know that’s what she would want. To keep following Him. I miss you babygirl. Let’s remember the good times with Dalyla. Let the memories live on forever. Thank you.

Just one more Halloween picture

You can see the detail of the make up on this photo. Doesn't it look awesome?!

Late upload

So this was the outcome for my boyfriend's and I costume. I was a little frustrated at first because the makeup wouldn't stick, my boyfriend was acting like a girl because I was putting makeup on him etc etc. But it turn out great! Even though there wasn't a best costume award at my sister's party, I nominated us to win first place.  :) haha
